Fashion and Feminism: A Study Between the Relationship of Fashion and Feminism

INTRODUCTION

Clothes can speak a thousand words and the fashion industry is home to many powerhouse designers using their garments to speak out against injustice. It’s no secret that clothes go hand in hand with self expression, and for decades people have used fashion as a way to communicate. The clothes we wear can be used to tell a story, communicate values and ideals, or express political solidarity.

PURPOSE

The objective of this research is to disprove the myth that fashion is the foundation of feminism.

DESCRIPTION

Fashion is also related with the feminine as a type of being for whom fashion's own instability is said to mean a lot, and as a result, the feminine has come to be identified with a type of being who isn't serious. As a result, dismissing the fashion system as a site of philosophical and political inquiry means that the feminine will continue to exist as a surface creature outside of philosophy's depths. The actual material make-up of fashion is feminine, while its labor is masculinized, even in Marx's theorization of it as a system. Its manufacture was influenced by empire and slavery, and it continues to exploit women.

The collapse killed more than 1,100 garment workers and came after numerous complaints and warnings were deliberately ignored. It is the deadlines garment factory disaster in record
